Life-Changing Moments
At VetMed, I developed a digital media strategy to announce the annual scholarship recipients at the annual donor dinner. We know that scholarships can be life-changing. We know that our donors are incredibly generous and want to see students succeed. What we rarely get to see is the moment someone learns they are a scholarship recipient. For our video, I wanted our donors to experience the joy our students feel during this moment. We invited scholarship recipients to a digital interview where they talk about why scholarships matter. They also talk about how a small scholarship would change their life. What they did not know is that they were all recipients of the college’s largest scholarship. Seeing them flush with emotion was a very real display of the power of giving. The video was marketed to a small group of donors and potential donors..
Blue Buffalo Gift Announcement
In 2016, The Blue Buffalo Company announced a $6 million gift to establish the Blue Buffalo Veterinary Clinical Trials Office at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. I worked with Oregonian Pictures to produce a video that tells the story of the gift; and its impact on the college, the veterinary medical center, our patients, and veterinary clinical trials. This video was promoted throughout all communications vehicles at the college, shown in the lobby of the animal hospital waiting room, and even ran as a “trailer” before our most signifiant public lectures.

Discover ASC- Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Recruitment Videos During my tenure as Recruitment Marketing Manager, I collaborated with an external vendor, Oregonian Production Company, to produce the college’s first promotional video for undergraduate recruitment. I worked closely with the production company to develop a concept, storyboard, and filming strategy for the video. I also worked with admissions, the Arts and Sciences divisional deans, and the undergraduate recruitment committee to identify faculty, staff, and students for the video. It was such a rewarding experience and allowed me to create new connections within the college, utilize my existing video production skills, and even had the chance to learn new techniques and strategies for filming. The videos were advertised in all college communication vehicles and ran at the beginning of select recruitment presentations. We created three videos to focus on the following themes:

This video focuses on the academic experience. It provides a look into the college’s expansive and diverse portfolio for academic enrichment.
Finding The Right Fit: Community & Support
Given the size of the College of Arts and Sciences, some students feel a bit intimidated when they hear the number of majors, minors, and students. Thus, it was paramount to discuss support services the college offers and tackle concepts such as inclusion and the sense of community.
This video looks at how students are capitalizing on opportunities to expand their academic landscape. These range from ASC student research, studying abroad, and student organizations. We also have faculty explaining how getting involved beyond the classroom can be beneficial to students.
